There are five steps involved in IVF:

  4. Your doctor will closely watch the nourished eggs to confirm they're dividing and growing appropriately. At this point, your doctor may test the embryos for genetic disorders.
  5. Your doctor may implant suitable embryos once they are large enough. It may happen three to five days after conception. Your doctor will insert a catheter into your vagina, pasting your cervix into your uterus during the procedure. The embryo is subsequently implanted into your uterus by your doctor.
